It’s now just under a week away until Juventus kick-start their Serie A campaign with a trip to Parma.

The Italian giants eased to yet another league title last season and one man who played a pivotal role in their triumph was a certain Cristiano Ronaldo.

In his first season at the Allianz Stadium, the forward became the club’s top scorer for the term, netting on 21 occasions.

It’s safe to say, Ronaldo continued to show exactly why the whole of the footballing world admires him.

Well, the whole of the footballing world bar one person it may seem.

That’s because former team-mate Diego Forlan doesn’t appear too keen on the forward after revealing what he was like in the dressing room during their time at Manchester United.

The pair played together at Old Trafford before the Uruguayan made the switch to Villarreal in 2004.

Speaking to the Mirror, Forlan said: “Ronaldo was an egotist in the dressing room – not like (David) Beckham.

“Cristiano always wanted to be near a mirror. He spent all day looking in the mirror.”

It looks like Forlan hasn’t forgiven Ronaldo for taking his number seven shirt at Old Trafford and making it his own.

To be fair to the Portuguese international, he was still in his teenage years breaking through at United when he shared a dressing room with Forlan.

Since then though, Ronaldo became a five-time Champions League winner, three-time Premier League winner and helped Portugal to European triumph in 2016.

And maybe having that ego and confidence early on helped him towards becoming one of the best in the world.
