After being set upon in last week's Monday Night Raw main event by the whole trio of The OC, Seth Rollins received some unlikely backup.Ricochet was unable to help him as he was overwhelmed by AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, but a monster was waiting to come to the rescue. To the pop of the Toronto crowd, Braun Strowman made his way to the ring and cleaned house, shaking hands with Rollins whilst also staring at his Universal Championship. That led to the rumours that we were going to see Rollins defend his title at Clash of Champions next month against Strowman, who hasn't had a world title shot since Crown Jewel last November.WWE also didn't go down the obvious route of having a six-man tag match which would've pitted The OC against Rollins, Braun and Ricochet, instead having Styles defend his U.S. Championship on Raw last night in St. Paul against The Monster Among Men.

But the pesky Gallows & Anderson interfered on Styles' behalf once again, only for Rollins to return the favour and save Strowman.

The two men then became a makeshift team for the main event as they tried to dethrone the Raw Tag Team Champions, which led to a huge title change.

After the hot tag was made to Braun and he laid Anderson to waste, Rollins took out an interfering Styles with a Curb Stomp, leaving Strowman to pick up the winning pinfall.

The St. Paul crowd absolutely loved what occurred and they became the latest makeshift unit to capture tag gold.

It's not like this kind of storyline hasn't been done before - think back to 2007 where John Cena and Shawn Michaels were both babyface rivals heading into WrestleMania 23 and they became the World Tag Team Champions.

But this is a nice storyline advance and we will no doubt see the dissension of the team in the upcoming weeks - as this is the WWE world we live in, not the real one.
