Dreams have been made this season for two drivers in Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc, but the Dutchman doesn’t think the future will be just a battle between them.

He has recently mentioned four other drivers who he sees as a potential threat for the future.

So far in this 2019 season, we have seen a brief glimpse of what is to come in the sport.

Verstappen and Leclerc were involved in a hugely thrilling duel at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix. The pair have also come wheel-to-wheel in previous races prior to this entertaining bout.

Both drivers are at a young age of 21 and have an exhilarating career in F1 to look forward to.

They also were rivals in their teens before making the jump up to F1, and Verstappen has already denied the remark that the pair are fierce rivals. But, the Red Bull racing driver is looking forward to future battles with the Ferrari man.

"We race each other really hard, and of course we had our moments in karting," the Dutchman told Autosport, as per GP Fans.

“But I think you all grow over that, and we are both in Formula 1 now, we are both living the dream.

"We are both racing where we wanted to be, and when we were in go-karting that was our dream. If you can be there together it's of course amazing, and I have a lot of respect for Charles.”

However, it's not just Leclerc who could be a future challenger.

Verstappen believes the likes of Lando Norris, George Russell, and Alexander Albon will challenge in the future along with having the potential to become a rival in F1.

"He is a great driver, but I'm not expecting to only fight him,” Verstappen revealed.

There are more young talents like Lando (Norris), potentially George (Russell), maybe Alex Albon.
