This summer only three things have been certain; death, taxes and the never-ending Neymar transfer saga.

Having looked certain to rejoin Barcelona before the transfer window even opened, it is beginning to reach the point where anywhere will do for the want-away Brazilian.

Neymar’s Parisian adventure has been littered with injuries, lurching from one controversy to the next as he failed to live up to expectations at Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG are standing their ground and are yet to hash out a deal with Real Madrid or Barcelona who have both been in hot pursuit of the forward all summer.

Neymar would command a massive fee though and his obscene wages are also proving to be a sticking point in any negotiations.

His questionable off-field shenanigans are also a cause for concern for potential suitors with the Paris club having to repeatedly criticise his ‘celebrity behaviour’.

No one, perhaps not even Neymar, knows how this one is going to turn out.

However, Brazilian legend and World Cup winner Rivaldo has waded into the debate with an interesting opinion.

I even imagine them combining for brilliant plays.

"Neymar could also help by sharing responsibilities as Juventus only has one big star now.

“It would be a beneficial move for the players and naturally for the club.”

He makes a good point - an in form Neymar linking up with the evergreen Ronaldo could be an unstoppable combination.

With Juventus desperate to end their painfully long European drought, it might not be the worst idea.

It would certainly be a gamble, but you can’t deny that Ronaldo doing bits with Neymar at his side is an attractive proposition.
