FIFA announced the 10 nominees for the 2019 Puskas award earlier this week.Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of the favourites after scoring a quite ridiculous acrobatic volley against Toronto last September.Lionel Messi also made the list after his chip to complete his hat-trick against Betis in March, while Andros Townsend's volleyed screamer against Manchester City also makes the cut.But the best of them all was perhaps Billie Simpson's goal for Cliftonville Ladies.Simpson scored a stunning volley from her own half against Sion Swifts Ladies last August.

You can see all the nominations and watch all the goals by clicking on this link:

But a number of incredible goals haven't made the final 10.

And football fans have been contributing to a thread on Twitter listing the best goals that didn't even get nominated for the award.

And you can view a select few of those below...

VINCENT KOMPANY: MANCHESTER CITY vs Leicester City

A goal that will live long in the memory.

Man City desperately needed a goal to maintain the lead at the top of the Premier League table.

And Kompany stepped up to the mark by smashing in a 30-yard screamer with 20 minutes remaining.

MASON BENNETT: DERBY COUNTY vs Wigan Athletic

Bennett's goal against Wigan in March was something special.

The English striker attempted an audacious acrobatic volley and it paid off.

ERIC BICFALVI: FC URAL vs Dynamo Moscow

We're not joking when we say Bicfalvi scored one of the best goals of all time last August.

Bicfalvi channelled his inner Dennis Bergkamp to produce an incredible touch in the box.

He then followed that up with a first time volley that lasered into the back of the net.

JOHN MCGINN: ASTON VILLA vs Sheffield Wednesday

It's outrageous that McGinn's 25-yard volley last season didn't make the list.

The Scottish midfielder caught the ball as sweet as you can possibly hope to hit it.

His effort started outside of the post before hitting the bar and going in.

This angle below does it justice.

ISMAILA SARR: RENNES vs FK Jablonec

Watford new boy Sarr scored a ridiculous goal in the Europa League last term.

He showed incredible technique as his rising volley hit the back of the net with some speed.

EDEN HAZARD: CHELSEA vs West Ham

Hazard's solo goal against West Ham was something special.

The Belgian winger picked up the ball just inside the opposition half, effortlessly beat every West Ham player in front of him before powering his effort into the bottom corner.

DIMITRI PAYET: MARSEILLE vs Guingamp

Payet has a knack of scoring ridiculous goals and his against Guingamp last September was another to add to the collection.

The Frenchman produced a side-footed volley from 25 yards that looped into the top corner. What a hit.

LIONEL MESSI: BARCELONA vs Liverpool

One of the best free-kicks of Messi's career.

His effort from 30 yards was absolutely perfect.

FERNANDO FORESTIERI: SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY vs Norwich City

The goal that started the thread off.

Forestieri spun away from a defender before producing an audacious effort from along range.

He caught the ball perfectly and it arrowed into the top corner, leaving the goalkeeper with absolutely no chance.

OMAR AL SOMA: AL-AHLI vs Al-Ittihad

The Syrian striker chested the ball down before pulling off an incredible overhead kick.

PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG: ARSENAL vs Leicester

One of the best team goals in Premier League history.

Bernd Leno started the move off in his own box. Nine passes and 19 seconds later, Aubameyang tapped the ball into the back of the net. A quite brilliant move.
