Jon Moxley out of AEW All Out due to elbow injury

Jon Moxley has confirmed that he will not be wrestling against Kenny Omega at AEW All Out later this month, and the promotion confirmed PAC will be taking his place in the match.

Moxley has been pulled from the match at All Out on August 31 due to a serious case of MRSA in his elbow.

According to Wrestling Inc, he may have picked up the staph infection while working for New Japan Pro Wrestling in Japan.

In a series of tweets, Moxley issued a statement on his injury, and he apologised to those fans that hoped to see him have his first match for AEW at All Out.

He said: "I'm absolutely gutted to have to deliver this news but I'd rather it come directly from me. In a nightmare scenario, a serious case of MRSA has returned in my elbow. The timing couldn't be worse. In this circumstance, I am forced to pull out of the fight 8/31 vs Omega at All Out.

"I apologize to all involved, most importantly the fans. I am incredibly frustrated and pissed off. I'll have surgery this week to remove the bursa sac in my elbow and be done with it for good. Should be a quick recovery so I will be 100% for AEW Wednesday nights on TNT.

"Still, I expect All out to be an amazing ppv and hope all the fans out there looking for an alternative tune in. You will be blown away by AEW and be excited to be a wrestling fan. I'm looking forward to watching as a fan myself.

"This f--king sucks."

AEW moved quickly to confirm that PAC, formerly known as Neville in WWE, will be taking Moxley's place at All Out, meaning he will face Omega at the show.

PAC was scheduled to face Hangman Adam Page at AEW Double or Nothing in May, as well as team with the Lucha Brothers to face The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega at June's Fyter Fest.

However, he was pulled from both of these matches due to reportedly 'creative differences' with Dragon Gate as the promotion didn't want him to lose while he was their Open the Dream Gate Champion.

Fingers crossed Moxley is able to return to the ring soon, but AEW fans will still be receiving a quality PAC vs Omega match at All Out while he is recovering from his injury.
