Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can be satisfied with Manchester United's start to the new season. The Red Devils got off to a flyer by thrashing Chelsea 4-0 at Old Trafford. A tricky trip to Wolves followed, and United escaped Molineux with a point.Given the record Nuno's men enjoyed against the top six last season, that's not to be taken for granted. There remains confusion over who should be taking the penalties after Paul Pogba's latest error from the spot - but that's a story for another day.

By roughly the same date in 2018, Jose Mourinho was already in crisis following a defeat to Brighton and a 3-0 thrashing at home to Tottenham Hotspur.

United can be pleased then, that the mood a year on has changed significantly.

And ahead of their latest fixture against Crystal Palace, the club's official Twitter account couldn't help but revel in their opening day victory one more time with a dig at Chelsea's expense.

'Wish we were playing Chelsea again, though...' Ouch. Let's hope that doesn't come back to bite them in the return game.

Indeed, Chelsea's US account had a brutal response of their own:

You can forgive United a little indulgence, however, as it was a blistering display, courtesy of a Rashford double, and strikes from Anthony Martial, and new boy Daniel James.
