Question marks loomed over Wilfried Zaha and his commitment to Crystal Palace heading into the 2019/20 Premier League season.

It's no secret that the 26-year-old wanted to join Arsenal, who were heavily linked with him all summer and had several bids rejected by Palace.

In the end Arsenal signed Nicolas Pepe instead for £72m, which then saw Zaha linked with a move to Everton.

But nothing came of that either, so in the end Zaha stayed at Palace and he only played 25 minutes in their opening game of the season against Everton.

In response to the rumours of unrest, manager Roy Hodgson insisted that Zaha would be professional and focus on helping Palace.

"I don't have any issues with him," Hodgson said at the beginning of August. He'll have come to terms with the fact he's got another season with Crystal Palace.

"It's been well documented he's wanted to leave but it has not worked out for him in that respect. He's a professional and got a good contract with us.

"He's very much a player we respect and I believe he respects us. We expect him to come back and do what he does and we're looking forward to a season with him again."

Zaha returned to Palace's starting line-up for last weekend's trip to Sheffield United, which they lost, and then started against his old club Manchester United on Saturday.

Palace took the lead at Old Trafford through Jordan Ayew and there was one piece of play where Zaha completely toyed with Ashley Young.

In the video below, Zaha beats Young not once, not twice, but three times using a variety of step overs and fakes.

Unreal.

Zaha may not have got his move to Arsenal, but if he rediscovers his form from last season he'll surely get his wishes next summer.
