Arsenal are being linked with a potential summer swoop for Brazilian starlet Dentinho.

The 20-year-old samba starlet has been earning rave reviews for his performances at Corinthians, with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger sending scouts to watch the player in South America.

Chelsea and Manchester City are also believed to have sent representatives to monitor the striker at the Estádio do Pacaembu, while Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is already thought to be using his links in Brazil to try and prize the player his way.

Wenger has a track record of getting the best out of young players at the Emirates, and the Gunners target has been developing his skills alongside Brazilian legends Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos at the Todo Poderoso.

“He is playing very well at the moment, but the deadline is approaching very quickly so there will most definitely be no movement in the January transfer window," one of the player's chief representatives, Sascha Enodien, told

"There will always be speculation about a talent like Dentinho, but for now there is no news. In the future we will see."

The report claims the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A side are bracing themselves for summer bids for the player, and Arsenal are one of those considering an offer.

Transfer funds are thought to be available at the north London outfit following the announcement of bumper profits, although it's unclear how much Arsenal would have to offer to land the forward.

With competition not just in England, Arsenal may have to act fast to secure the signature and could approach the club before the opening of the second transfer window in an effort to beat their rivals.
