For a Manchester United player, there is no better feeling than scoring a crucial goal at Old Trafford.

Finding the back of the net at one of football's most famous grounds and sending 76,000 fans crazy? The stuff of dreams.

So when Daniel James curled the ball into the top corner yesterday against Crystal Palace to make the game 1-1, he celebrated pretty emphatically rather than picking the ball up and heading for the centre circle.

The Welsh winger sprinted over to the crowd and stood cross-armed in front of them.

It was a beautiful goal and one that looked set to hand United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a much-needed point - or more.

But five minutes later, Patrick van Aanholt struck in stoppage-time to make it 2-1 to Palace and condemn the Red Devils to their first defeat of the Premier League season.

How's your luck, Daniel?

In the aftermath of the game, some people have questioned James' rather overzealous celebration and it appears United players felt the same on the pitch.

Pictures from the match appears to show Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial trying to drag the Welshman away from celebrating in order to try and find the winning goal.

Maybe they should have left him to get on with his celebration...

It's hard to lay too much blame at James' door, especially given his footballing journey in the last year or so.

The 21-year-old is experiencing Premier League football for the first time after just one full season with Swansea's first-team in the Championship last season.

And in his first two home games, he's scored two goals - so who can blame him for getting a bit carried away?
