The pressure was on Antoine Griezmann to produce a match-winning performance for Barcelona against Real Betis on Sunday evening. The French striker, who joined the Catalan giants from Atletico Madrid in a deal worth €120 million in July, failed to prevent Barça slumping to a 1-0 defeat in their La Liga opener against Athletic Bilbao. And with Lionel Messi still out of action against Betis (as well as Luis Suarez also missing) the onus was on Griezmann to provide the firepower on his Camp Nou debut.Griezmann never managed to score at Barça’s home ground during his spell with Atletico Madrid, and he must have feared the worst when Nabil Fekir put Betis 1-0 up against the run of play after 15 minutes. The home fans were getting restless - #ValverdeOut was trending on Twitter, meanwhile, as it does most weeks - but Griezmann popped up with his first competitive goal for the club on the stroke of half-time.

It was a lovely finish inside the penalty area; however, his second goal (scored five minutes into the second half) was an absolute beauty.

The World Cup winner picked the ball up on the edge of the box and curled an unstoppable shot in the far corner of the net.

That was a strike that Messi himself would have been proud of.

The Argentine celebrated with his children in the stands and was then left laughing moments later after seeing Griezmann’s rather unique celebration.

Griezmann made his way towards the corner flag, where an unidentified man handed him a pot.

Inside the pot was some glitter, which Griezmann proceeded to chuck into the air, giving the photographer just in front of him the perfect shot.

And here's his brilliant goal...

Messi certainly seemed to enjoy it…

Griezmann is a huge NBA fan and it seems that he may have got the idea from LeBron James…

It’s unclear whether this will be a one-off from Griezmann, although we’d love to see it again.
