England kept their chances of regaining the Ashes alive on Sunday as they chased down 359 to beat Australia by a single wicket in a thrilling encounter.Australia looked set to retain the urn at Headingley when James Pattinson dismissed Stuart Broad and number eleven batsman Jack Leach walked out to the crease at 286-9.However, the 28-year-old hung in there alongside Ben Stokes and the pair produced a 76-run partnership (Leach only scored one of those runs) to carry England to a remarkable victory.Stokes grabbed all the plaudits after the third Test for his superb knock of 135 not out, but Leach played a vital role in the win and England's all-rounder was well aware of that.In his first tweet following his heroics, Stokes demanded that Specsavers give the glasses-wearing Leach free specs for life - and around an hour later, they obliged.

Stokes and Leach rescue Ashes hopes

During the dramatic final wicket stand, Nathan Lyon fumbled a great chance to run England's batsmen out and captain Tim Paine had no reviews left when Stokes was trapped lbw.

Stokes, who won the match with a boundary, hit 135 runs off 219 balls, while Leach faced 17 balls and spent an hour out in the middle for his solitary run.

Specsavers offer Leach free glasses for life

In between facing 90-mile-an-hour deliveries from Pat Cummins, 28-year-old Leach could amusingly be seen cleaning and polishing his glasses.

Specsavers are a British optical retail chain which sells glasses and offers services like eyesight testing, but they also sponsor the Man of the Match award in the current Ashes series.

Stokes won that award for the third Test in Leeds and once the series was levelled at 1-1, the 28-year-old tweeted Specsavers and told them to give teammate Leach a lifetime supply of glasses.

The tweet racked up over 12,000 retweets and 76,000 likes, so the optician company simply couldn't ignore the demand - and they responded in brilliant style.

"We can confirm we will offer Jack Leach free glasses for life," Specsavers stated, in response to Stokes' tweet and much to the delight of English cricket supporters.

Given how steamy Leach's glasses appeared to be getting, it'll come as no surprise if the spinner actually takes Specsavers up on their bold offer.

Of course, England wouldn't have won without Stokes, but if Leach didn't hang around with him, he would've been all out of partners and the series would effectively be over.

We now stand at one apiece with two Tests to play, where England will look to ride this wave of momentum and Australia hope to have the world's best batsman Steve Smith back in their XI.
