Cristiano Ronaldo is the ultimate footballing machine.Say what you like about the greatest of all-time (GOAT) debate, but there can be no doubting that Ronaldo is the most overt advocate of hard work, training beyond hours and physical excellence. You could probably argue that Lionel Messi is far more talented than Ronaldo, yet the Portuguese has worked night and day for over a decade to keep the debate raging. It seems everybody who has ever trained with Ronaldo will tell you about him arriving at training before everyone else and even diving in ice-baths after Champions League away games. And it's for those reasons that Ronaldo has been able to maintain his excellent standards into his thirties and continue to look fitter than a number of top players who are younger than him.

Ronaldo in Ballon d'Or contention?

Sure, some of his pace might have waned in recent years, but the Juventus man would still give most defenders a run for their money in the speed, strength and jumping departments.

It should come as little surprise that Ronaldo has taken to life at Juventus like a duck to water then and he's entering the 2019-20 season hungry for even more success.

And although it seems as though Messi and Virgil van Dijk are the leading Ballon d'Or contenders, Ronaldo has achieved more than enough in 2019 to leave a lasting impression.

Ronaldo's achievements at age 34

As a result, a video has emerged on Twitter this week that has outlined Ronaldo's recent accomplishments at the age of 34 alone.

Considering Ronaldo added an extra candle to his birthday cake as recently as February 5, both the footage and the statistics included make for impressive viewing.

With over 6,000 retweets and 28,000 'likes', clearly football fans have been more impressed with Ronaldo's last six months than the Ballon d'Or selectors are predicted to be.

Age really is just a number for Ronaldo.

We must disclaim that there's a slight misnomer with the first record in the video and what they really mean is that Ronaldo is the first player to win the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A.

Nevertheless, all the other statistics stand true and cover all sorts of areas from European football, domestic performances and - arguably most importantly - showings for Portugal.

His sensational run of form at the UEFA Nations League inspired his country to a second piece of silverware in three years, adding an extra dynamic to the Messi vs Ronaldo debate.

However, perhaps one of the most interesting comparisons will be made apparent when Messi reaches 34 and how he shapes up against a superb video testament of Ronaldo's brilliance.
