It feels like we've seen Stone Cold Steve Austin on WWE programming in 2019 more than we have in the last few years, and he's set for a third showing this year. Before Raw Reunion WWE fans hadn't seen the Texas Rattlesnake since the 25th anniversary episode in January of 2018, but he appeared at the end of the show in Tampa last month to raise a toast to all past and present superstars. And just two weeks ago Austin appeared via Skype video call to talk about how Seth Rollins dethroned Brock Lesnar the night before at SummerSlam, but it was really only done to promote his new show on USA Network - Straight Up Steve Austin.Any time Austin makes an arena appearance for WWE it guarantees a huge pop, and he's coming back once again in the coming weeks, and it's an arena very familiar to him.WWE will return to Madison Square Garden for Raw and SmackDown on September 9 and 10, the first time a taping will have happened in MSG since 2009, but ticket sales haven't been going too great.

With just two weeks to go, thousands of tickets are still available on Ticketmaster, both at ringside and in the stands, and Vince McMahon looks like he's made a desperate call for Austin to try and put some butts in seats.

This may not be the case at all, but from the outside looking in it does, and you have to wonder if Austin's appearance will intertwine into any current storylines, with the Raw being just six days before Clash Of Champions.

Austin has commented on his upcoming appearance on his official Twitter account, reminiscing on his memories of The Garden, which include hitting the Stunner on McMahon for the first time and his epic encounter with The Undertaker at SummerSlam 1998.

If only there was a current WWE superstar who was terrorising Hall of Famers to the adoration of the live crowd knocking about, now THAT would be something for Austin to do...
