Burnley manager Sean Dyche spotted at Reading festival one day before Wolves game

Sean Dyche is a big music fan.

The Burnley manager revealed his passion for music during an interview with ESPN in 2018, admitting he’s even seen Jay-Z and Kanye West live.

“Lately, I’ve seen Green Day, I thought they were amazing in concert. I saw Metallica, I’m not a major Metallica fan, but I like music enough to get invited and went. I’ve seen Jay-Z and Kanye West,” Dyche said.

Less 4-4-2, more 808.

Yet Dyche’s love for music would never get in the way of his preparations for an important football match, would it?

Turns out it would.

The 48-year-old was spotted at Reading festival on Saturday, the day before Burnley’s Premier League clash against Wolves.

Dyche may just be the coolest manager in the top flight.

He posted for a photo with Twitter user @afcfazza, who wrote: ‘F***ing sean dyche at reading yesterday”.

The fan then acknowledge the awkwardness of his tweet.

“The wording of the tweet getting sean in trouble”, he added.

Dyche then travelled up to the West Midlands to watch his side draw 1-1 against Wolves.

The Clarets were denied all three points thanks to Raul Jimenez’s last-minute penalty.

Dyche’s admiration for music came as a youngster, when he would following the ever-changing trends in the scene.

“The early music I heard was Top of the Pops. But in bedrooms, around the house with my brother playing the Sex Pistols, Sham 69 and the Ham and all these groups then going into that sort of mod turnover scene and then going into the New Romantics scene the coming of age myself in the mid-eighties and into the noughties, it was changing,” Dyche said.

“I remember all the magic markers of the first time I heard the Stone Roses and that Madchester vibe, the Verve and all these groups coming up.

“Then building from that you’re getting into the rave scene as well. That was a big era for me because I was 17, 18, 19 around that period. So that was important, musically.

More recently, a lot of Kasabian and stuff like that.

Keep an eye out for Dyche at the next festival you go to.
