Tottenham Hotspur had an abysmal end to last season in the Premier League.

The north London side looked to have had third in their grasp but a poor few months to end the season saw them eclipsed by Chelsea.

Positive results against Aston Villa and Manchester City to start this campaign hinted that Tottenham had turned around their form in the league.

But Mauricio Pochettino's men suffered a shock defeat against Newcastle on the weekend.

Spurs were expected to easily defeat a Newcastle team that had been in disarray.

But they failed to break down the Magpies at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

And the away side managed to take all three points thanks to Joelinton's first half goal.

Following this weekend's results, Nick Harris of Sporting Intelligence has created a Premier League table based on the last 15 games.

And it's horrible viewing for Tottenham.

View it below: (It only includes the 17 teams that were in the Premier League for both the 2018/19 campaign and the 2019/20 season)

Interesting stuff. So Tottenham would actually be in the relegation zone over the past 15 games.

They've accumulated just 15 points, only two more than Brighton and Watford.

Manchester United fans are hoping they can return to the top four but they have managed just 19 points in the last 15 games.

That puts them in 11th, just four points above the relegation zone.

Crystal Palace are the surprise package in fourth.

The Eagles have picked up 26 points, having won eight of their last 15.

Unsurprisingly it's Man City and Liverpool that are way ahead of the rest.

Pep Guardiola's side dropped points for the first time since February against Spurs earlier this month but still retain a two-point lead over Liverpool.

The Reds, who have picked up 41 points in their last 15, are a mammoth 15 points clear of Arsenal in third.
