Premier League and Football League clubs ranked by their 2019/20 jersey sales

The 2019/20 season is now well underway on English shores.

Supporters have been flocking through the turnstiles of their local clubs, motoring through pies and burgers, cheering on the team and likely splashing out on all the new merchandise.

Gone are the days when clubs would wear a certain jersey for three or four seasons and in are the times of a brand new home, away and often third strip every single year.

It's a trend that certainly isn't exclusive to the Premier League and you can run your finger down the English footballing pyramid to see even the most obscure of clubs indulging in a brand new kit.

And now that football fans have had plenty of time to splash out on the 2019/20 jerseys, the team at Love The Sales has decided to crunch the numbers on kit sales in England.

2019/20 jersey sales

The most popular shirt in all of the land is Liverpool's home effort, followed by the designs that Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have worn in front of their own fans.

Arsenal's riff on their classic 'bruised banana' design is the highest-selling away strip and Liverpool are flogging more goalkeeper jerseys than any of their compatriots.

Perhaps the most interesting tidbit, though, is that Huddersfield's kits have soared to the sixth most popular in English football after Paddy Power's hilarious summer campaign.
