'Pogba Out' has been spray-painted on a sign outside Man Utd's training ground

It's been over three weeks since the Premier League transfer window closed and clubs wrapped up their summer business.

And yet Manchester United find themselves in real danger of losing Paul Pogba without being able to bring in a replacement.

Real Madrid are long-term admirers of the Frenchman and according to latest reports, they're planning to make one last bid before the La Liga window closes next Monday.

It's claimed that Pogba also wants the move and earlier this summer he conceded that it might be time for a "new challenge".

He then sparked further speculation at the beginning of August by saying a "question mark remains" over his future at United.

"Obviously there have been things said but only time will tell," the 26-year-old said after the 4-0 win over Chelsea. "This question mark remains.

"However, as I said, I am here in Manchester. I enjoy playing with my teammates and I always want to win every game. I always give it everything.

"I am always good whenever I play football. It's what I love - it's my job. I give the maximum each time I am on a green pitch."

Despite the risk of being light in midfield until January, a large chunk of United fans are keen to see Pogba leave.

His inconsistent form and ego have been a problem ever since he arrived in 2016 and now it seems to have reached breaking point.

What is wrong with some people? It's one thing to want someone out of a club, but it's another to vandalise private property just to make a point.

The damage was done on Wednesday morning, with the sign only recently being erected due to the increase in fans trying to get closer to the players.
