The draw for the 2019/20 Champions League group stage took place in Monaco on Thursday afternoon.
Europe’s top clubs have found out which teams they’ll be taking on over the next couple of months – and there plenty of mouth-watering ties to look forward to.
Four English teams were among the 32 in the group stage draw. Reigning European champions Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City were all placed in Pot One, while last season’s finalists Tottenham were in Pot Two.
City went into the draw as the pre-tournament favourites, despite never having won the competition before. Pep Guardiola’s side have the quality to go all the way this season.
Liverpool were third favourites, just behind second favourites Barcelona, who are poised to re-sign Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain.

Real Madrid were fourth favourites, despite their suspect form at the start of the current campaign, while Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus were sixth favourites behind PSG.
This season’s final will take place at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey on May 30.
