Romelu Lukaku's Inter Milan career got off to the perfect start on Monday evening.

Antonio Conte's new-look side ran out 4-0 winners against Lecce, with Lukaku scoring on his debut.

The Belgian looked right at home in Conte's setup, thriving in a front two alongside Lautaro Martinez.

Lukaku has always been admired by the new Inter boss. He was desperate to bring him to Chelsea at the start of his stint with the Blues in 2017, but he ended up signing for Manchester United.

But he's now finally got his man and he is already working his magic on the 26-year-old - who cost the Nerazzurri around £65m this summer.

That's because Conte has got Lukaku on his special 'Bresaola' diet and the results are already mighty impressive.

As per the Daily Mail, Belgium's record goalscorer has already shed 3kg off of his bulky frame.

Conte's diet is rich in lean meats such as chicken and turkey, couple with a wide variety of Mediterranean vegetables.

Fried foods, mozzarella and alcohol are strictly banned, although, the latter is easy for Lukaku as he is one of the many footballers who is teetotal.

Lukaku was heavily criticised this summer for his fitness and physique, with United legend Gary Neville slamming him on social media.

He posted on Twitter: "He's admitted to being overweight. He is over 100 kg! He's a Manchester United player!

"He will score goals and do well at Inter Milan but unprofessionalism is contagious!"

Maybe Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer just weren't strict enough with him during his time at Old Trafford.

Conte is renowned for being a strict authoritarian, one who is desperate to see physical progress from his players.

Perhaps someone with his managerial style was what Lukaku needed during the peak years of his career.

Serie A defender, watch out for the new-look Lukaku!
