If Slavia Prague could have picked which group to avoid before the Pot four teams were drawn in Monaco on Thursday, they almost certainly would have chosen Group F.Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan had already been assigned to that group, making it this season’s Champions League ‘Group of Death’.Other groups were also looking scary - PSG and Real Madrid were both in Group A, while Juventus and Atletico Madrid were together in Group D - but Group F looked particularly terrifying for the eight teams in the final pot. However, one team had to go there - and Slavia must now face three of Europe’s best teams home and away over the next few months. The Czech champions sent several delegates to Monaco and their reaction after they were assigned to Group F soon went viral on social media.

Wesley Sneijder drew the ball with Slavia’s name inside…

Petr Cech, a former Sparta Prague goalkeeper, then drew the ball with Group F inside it…

And the Slavia delegates couldn’t help but crease up…

Watch the brilliant video here…

They seemed to laugh even more when the host said: “That’s quite a challenging group actually.”

Yeah. You could say that, mate.

Slavia’s English account went on to tweet: “We have been in @ChampionsLeague for less than 24 hours and our Vice Chairman of the Board already became meme.

“Get lost Hide the Pain Harold!”

Superb.

For any neutrals watching the Champions League this season, it might be time to get behind Slavia Prague.

Slavia may well fancy their chances at home, at least.

They don’t lose many matches domestically and currently sit top of their league, five points ahead of Viktoria Plzen.
