Manchester United fans will breathe a sigh of relief once the European transfer window closes on September 2.

The Premier League window closed before the start of the new season, but clubs from across the continent can still try and bring in top talent from English teams.

Paul Pogba is one name that simply won't leave the rumour mills, with the Frenchman regularly linked with a move to Real Madrid.

A few months back, it looks almost certain that the World Cup-winning midfielder would be off, declaring in an interview that he was ready for a 'new challenge'.

But with just a few days to go, it looks as though Pogba will be remaining at Old Trafford - barring a last minute transfer assault from Real Madrid.

While he will remain at the club, Pogba will not be featuring in the Red Devils' new calendar for 2020.

As per The Sun, those in charge at the club were so confident the mercurial midfielder would leave that they decided to axe him from the project entirely.

A source at the club stated: “The execs just couldn’t take a chance on Pogba. He seemed certain to leave and the last thing the commercial department wanted was tens of thousands of calendars with his mug on so it was better to leave him out.

“His face shifts plenty of gear for the club but it is easy to remove someone from the website if they leave.”

Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford, Scott McTominay, Anthony Martial, Victor Lindelof, Andreas Pereira, David de Gea, Jesse Lingard, Nemanja Matic and Luke Shaw are the players chosen for the calendar.

Due to Pogba's absence, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plugs the gap for October, while August will just have a picture of Old Trafford.

So there you have it United fans, if you were desperate to see your favourite Frenchman ringing in a new month in 2020, you will be out of luck.
