Roberto Firmino scored his 50th Premier League goal this weekend.

One member of Liverpool's remarkable front three, the Brazilian has always been a key source of goals for the Reds and couldn't help rounding off a 3-0 victory against Burnley.

A complete fluke of an opening goal - eventually credited as a Chris Wood own goal - and a fine finish from Sadio Mane had effectively secured a fourth consecutive win for Liverpool.

However, they weren't finished there and Firmino delivered the final blow just 10 minutes shy of full-time, whipping a decisive shot past Nick Pope after a lightning counterattack.

Firmino is actually the least prolific of the triumvirate that includes Mane and Mohamed Salah, often dropping deeper than his teammates to defend from the front and create opportunities.

Firmino moves to 50 goals

But that doesn't mean that the 27-year-old has lost his eye for goal, finding the net 68 times across 198 appearances and four years on Merseyside.

While some of those strikes have been crucial in cup competitions and the Champions League, all but 18 of them have come in the Premier League... the trophy Liverpool fans desire the most.

Scoring 50 goals in England's top division is no mean feat either and although there's a long way to go before he reaches centurion status, he has already joined an exclusive club at Liverpool.

Elite club at Liverpool

That's because only nine players have ever scored a half-century of Premier League goals in the famous red jersey - and Firmino is the seventh fastest to accomplish it.

So, bearing in mind this little piece of history, it only made sense to countdown all the Liverpool players who have reached 50 and rank them based on how many appearances it took.

Using the data collected by PlanetFootball.com, check out the full list down below:

9. Steven Gerrard - 281 games

8. Dirk Kuyt - 194 games

7. Roberto Firmino - 141 games

6. Daniel Sturridge - 103 games

5. Michael Owen - 98 games

4. Robbie Fowler - 88 games

3. Luis Suarez - 86 games

2. Fernando Torres - 72 games

1. Mohamed Salah - 69 games

A round of applause for Firmino, talk about illustrious company!

Gerrard is miles behind the rest of the players in terms of games taken, but that's more than understandable considering his position far deeper into the midfield.

It might come as a surprise to see Kuyt reaching the half-century, too, while Sturridge reiterates just how underrated he was by essentially averaging a goal every other league game.

We truly get into elite territory when Owen and Fowler are introduced, but Torres and Salah are simply in a league of their own in terms of making a lightning start at Anfield.

However, time taken aside, Firmino will be chuffed to join an incredibly exclusive club and now all eyes are on Mane who is waiting in the wings with 47 league goals for the Reds.
