Mauricio Pochettino spoke for managers everywhere when he joked he'd be holding a party when the European transfer window shuts on Monday.

Of course, the Tottenham boss has more invested than most in keeping Christian Eriksen in north London.

The Dane's move to Real Madrid looks to be off, as does the seemingly endless saga of Neymar's return to Barcelona.

Se queda, at least for now.

However, there are still a number of high-profile deals set to be completed before Europe's top clubs have to make do with what they've already got until January.

On Monday, the window closes in Serie A, La Liga, the Bundesliga, and Ligue 1 at various times.

Here are some of the biggest transfers which could still go through.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan (Arsenal to Roma)

The Armenian played in Sunday's north London derby but is now likely to join the Giallorossi on loan.

Mauro Icardi (Inter Milan to PSG)

The striker's relationship with Inter ultras has hit a fresh nadir and he is being threateningly told to leave the city. Antonio Conte's side already have Romelu Lukaku to lead the line in his place.

Bruno Fernandes (Sporting Lisbon to Real Madrid)

Real Madrid fans were promised "a bomb, maybe two" by Zinedine Zidane and they look set to land Fernandes, who has spent most of the summer being linked with Manchester United.

Shkodran Mustafi (Arsenal to Juventus)

Not content with the acquisition of Matthijs de Ligt, Juventus want more cover at centre-back following Giorgio Chiellini's ACL injury. Arsenal fans, who's going to tell them? Jerome Boateng is another option being explored.

Javier Hernandez (West Ham to Sevilla)

The Mexican asked to leave the London Stadium with just a year left on his contract. Chicarito, England will miss you and your hair.

Victor Wanyama (Tottenham to Club Brugge)

Celtic are also being linked with a reunion with the Kenyan, but their competitors from Belgium can outmuscle them financially.

Dejan Lovren (Liverpool to Juventus)

Another slightly questionable bit of recruitment strategy from a side who let in three at the weekend and that was without Lovren and Mustafi... The Croat is a Champions League winner nonetheless.

There's a strong argument to be had that Premier League clubs have shot themselves in the foot by closing their own window so early.

It means that any late departures won't be replaced, in turn making their current employers more reluctant to sell.

Either way, how Monday pans out could play a key role in determining the rest of the season.
