Barcelona fans will never forget the Pep Guardiola era.

It was the time when the Blaugrana well and truly reigned supreme over their counterparts and played the finest football ever seen by human eyes.

In the years after Guardiola's departure, there has still been a lot of success for Barca.

A second treble was won under Luis Enrique and three La Liga titles have been added to their trophy collection in the past four years.

However, the recruitment of the club in recent times has come under heavy scrutiny.

So with that in mind, we've decided to rank the 32 signings made by Barca since Guardiola's exit in 2012.

For obvious reasons, we haven't included the likes of Frenkie de Jong and Antoine Griezmann as they were only signed this summer.

No prizes for guessing who's first...

32 - KEVIN-PRINCE BOATENG

Just the three appearances in total for Boateng in what was surely one of the weirdest loan moves in football history.

31 - MARLON SANTOS

Signed from Fluminense in 2017, Marlon never made an appearance for Barca's senior team. He now plays for Sassuolo out in Italy.

30 - DOUGLAS

Another Brazilian who just didn't make the grade at the Camp Nou. Just the three senior appearances in five years...

29 - JEISON MURILLO

A loan deal that looked sensible on paper back in January, but the Colombian centre-back never came close to earning a permanent transfer.

28 - ALEX SONG

Song is lucky he's so high up after trying to steal that trophy away from Eric Abidal. His move to Arsenal didn't make sense at the time and it still doesn't...

27 - ANDRE GOMES

The phrase 'expensive flop' springs to mind here. Gomes (€40m) was even booed my Barca fans at times, but he's finally found his feet at Everton.

26 - GERARD DEULOFEU

He struggled to break into the first-team after coming up through the ranks and struggled once again when he was re-signed in 2015, leaving permanently just two years later.

25 - YERRY MINA

A signing that had fans full of hope, but one that ended within six months as he - like Gomes - was shipped off to Everton.

24 - THOMAS VERMAELEN

One of the most injury-prone players on Earth, but one that had a few decent games for Barca. Had he been able to maintain his fitness, he could have been a real asset for the Blaugrana.

23 - JEAN-CLAIR TODIBO

Given that he's made just two appearances and is a player with a glowing reputation, Todibo is not banished to the bottom of the pile. Don't make us regret our decision, Jean-Clair.

22 - MALCOM

Surely a player who deserved more of a chance at Barca? Given the club's injury woes at the start of this season, they may be wishing they held on to the €40m man.

21 - DENIS SUAREZ

Managed to make 46 appearances for the Blaugarna in a highly-competitive midfield, which is pretty impressive in itself.

20 - ARDA TURAN

Sometimes looked great, other times looked a square peg in a round hole. Turan had all the attributes needed to succeed at Barca, but it never quite worked out.

19 - JEREMY MATHIEU

Was nearly always dependable when called upon and scored against Real Madrid in a 2-1 win for Barca over their eternal rivals in 2015.

18 - ALEIX VIDAL

A solid option both in attack and in defence, but like many on this list, he simply wasn't good enough to be a regular in the first-team.

17 - LUCAS DIGNE

Another player who has now been shipped off to Everton, but Digne showed his quality at Barca and had it not been for Jordi Alba, he could have been a mainstay at the club.

16 - PHILIPPE COUTINHO

After a decent start following his £142m move from Liverpool, things turned sour for Coutinho. Still, there were at least some spectacular goals and performances from the Brazilian.

15 - PACO ALCACER

A striker who just wasn't given enough of a chance in Barca's star-studded attack. Looked a threat whenever he played and is now banging in the goals at Borussia Dortmund.

14 - JASPER CILLESSEN

A great goalkeeper who's career in Catalonia was sadly blighted by the brilliance of his German adversary. More from the latter further down the list.

13 - NELSON SEMEDO

Dependable, but probably not quite at the level needed to be a true great at Barca.

12 - ARTURO VIDAL

A player who added fire and steel to Barca's midfield at key times last season. He also recorded seven assists in 33 La Liga appearances in 2018/19, which isn't bad going at all.

11 - ARTHUR MELO

The heir to Xavi Hernandez. Arthur hasn't featured for Barca yet this season, but there is no doubt that he - alongside De Jong - is the future of the Blaugrana's midfield.

10 - OUSMANE DEMBELE

Frustrating? Yes. Talented? Double yes. The Frenchman showed at times last season that he is a world beater.

9 - PAULINHO

A bizarre signing on paper, but Paulinho came up clutch so many times during his Barca career and they even made a profit on him when they sold him back to Guangzhou Evergrande in 2018.

8 - CLAUDIO BRAVO

Was the perfect heir to Victor Valdes for a number of years, before a certain German arrived on the scene...

7 - CLEMENT LENGLET

Stepped in to the team last season and looked as if he had marshalling the defence for years alongside Gerard Pique.

6 - SAMUEL UMTITI

A world-class defender for both Barca and France who's career is currently stalling to a serious knee injury.

5 - IVAN RAKITIC

A key man in Barca's midfield over the last five years. Countless top-class performances and a goal in a Champions League final. Not bad, Ivan.

4 - NEYMAR

A key figure in the greatest ever attacking trident, scoring 105 goals and notching 76 assists in his 186 Barca appearances.

3 - JORDI ALBA

One of Barca's most important players. A great defender, an elite attacker and Lionel Messi's favourite supply line.

2 - MARC-ANDRE TER STEGEN

Valdes and Bravo were very good between the posts, but Ter Stegen is on a different planet. Arguably Barca's finest ever goalkeeper.

1 - LUIS SUAREZ

Seeing as Messi came through Barca's ranks, Suarez is probably the club's greatest ever signing, scoring a ridiculous 175 goals in 257 games.
