Emre Can is 'angry and upset' with Juventus after being omitted from CL squad

Emre Can's move to Juventus really hasn't gone to plan.

The German midfielder left Liverpool in the summer of 2018 in search of a new challenge and a chance to win trophies.

While he collected his first league title with the Bianconeri in 2018/19, Can played a fairly peripheral role in Max Allegri's side.

Can started just 20 league games in total and struggled to find top form on a consistent basis.

As for Liverpool, they turned into one of Europe's finest teams and won the Champions League after the 25-year-old's exit.

And to rub salt in Can's wounds, new Juve manager Maurizio Sarri has omitted the German from his first Champions League squad.

Can will be unable to play in any of Juve's six group games, with Mario Mandzukic also missing out.

Understandably, the German international is far from happy and he's called out Juve for making him false promises this summer.

“I’m extremely shocked,” Can told Bild. “Our conversation only lasted a minute and I wasn’t given a reason. It makes me angry and upset.

“I’ll draw my own conclusions and talk to the club after I return [from international duty].

“I was told and promised something else by the club last week. PSG came in for me, but I decided to stay with Juve.

The condition was that I’d be in the Champions League.

You have to admit that's brutal from Juve.

Can could have had the chance to move to PSG if the Italian giants knew they were going to omit him from European duties for the rest of the year.

Unless Sarri is trying to keep him fresh for Serie A - which seems unlikely given he hasn't started the first two games - Can has unfairly treated.
