Few players have a cult following in football quite like Nicklas Bendtner. The Danish striker is a shameless self-believer, stating may times during his Arsenal days that he was one of the best strikers in world football.During his time in England, there were glimpses of his quality, including a hat-trick against Porto in the knockout stages of the Champions League. But in reality, Bendtner and English football was just never a good mix, despite the striker earning 81 caps for the Danish national team, scoring 30 times as well. After disappointing spells with Birmingham, Sunderland and most recently Nottingham Forest, Bendtner opted to move back to Scandinavia in 2017, signing for Norwegian outfit Rosenborg.

He wasn't actually too bad, scoring 24 goals in 57 appearances.

As a result, when it was announced that he was returning to Denmark to sign for Copenhagen, fans were ecstatic - with the teams home shirts selling out.

But one look at a video of his first training session with the club suggests supporters may regret forking out for the kit...

Oh dear, Nicklas.

Unless a fully-fit Alisson Becker is hiding in that goalkeeper jersey, the Dane isn't exactly looking prolific.

Bendtner will be hoping he rediscovers his goal scoring form for Copenhagen when they start their Europa League campaign.

The Danish side are in a group with Lugano, nearby rivals Malmo and Dynamo Kiev.

Copenhagen will be expected to qualify from the group and could be a difficult team to beat as the competition progresses.

And if 'Lord Bendtner' starts producing the form he believes he is capable of in his own head, they will certainly be a troubling prospect for the big boys.
