He may be nearing the age of 50, but Chris Jericho continues to go from strength-to-strength in everything he ever does.

Y2J was the marquee capture by All Elite Wrestling when they became an entity in late 2018, and it apparently angered Vince McMahon who 'black-listed' him from WWE.

But Jericho will already be laughing as he's not only on a reported great contract with AEW, but he's also their first-ever world champion.

Jericho defeated Adam 'Hangman' Page at All Out this week to capture the AEW World Championship, but it wasn't long before the belt wasn't actually with him.

A report filed by the Tallahassee Police Department in Florida on Sunday stated that a championship belt in the possession of Jericho had gone missing from a privately-rented limousine as he dined in a steakhouse.

This led to Jericho publishing a video on social media stating he was involving a private investigator to find his title belt, whilst he drunk 'a little bit of the bubbly' - something that's gone incredibly viral recently and created memes like this.

However his belt has now returned, and the explanation given by Tallahassee Police has made even more people think this may have been a storyline all along.

A statement on the department's Facebook page stated that a citizen had returned the belt - valued at nearly $30,000 - to the station on Wednesday after apparently finding it at the side of a road.

The TPD also stated that their Burglary Unit is still investigating the matter which would suggest it was an actual robbery, but some fans still aren't convinced.

But nevertheless, the title is now back in the possession of its rightful owner, and he celebrated with - you guessed it - a little bit of the bubbly.

Whether it was all legit or it was just a work, it's kept wrestling fans interested and active for the last 72 hours - so congratulations AEW!
