The Wild Card Rule has plagued WWE storylines since its inception in May of this year.

Some say it was the USA Network that forced it upon Vince McMahon and others say Vince pitched the idea himself, but most can agree that it's been a bit of a disaster.

It's taken television time away from lots of superstars who needed, as Kevin Owens pointed out on SmackDown all those weeks ago in his 'pipe-bomb'.

The ruling was limited to three superstars from each brand a week could appear on the other show but it quickly exceeded that number, and the brand split has seemingly been lost in the shuffle.

It looks as though with SmackDown Live's upcoming switch to FOX has brought a solution to all the madness.

As reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE have reportedly planned another draft to take place not long after FOX broadcast SmackDown for the first time.

That will be on October 4 in Los Angeles, where a star-studded line-up is set to assemble inside the Staples Center, and then a week later they will head to Las Vegas for the first night of the draft.

It won't all be completed in one night though, as Raw will host night two just three days later on October 14.

But how is this going to work without any authority figures?

The McMahons announced late last year that there were no brand-specific authority personnel anymore, with Paige stepping back from her SmackDown GM role and similarly Kurt Angle's reign as Raw ruler was ended.

Someone is going to have to do the picking for each brand though - and maybe WWE will surprise us with NO McMahon involvement, but that is wishful thinking indeed.
