It’s fair to say Arsenal fans are pretty pleased with their summer transfer window.

Despite reportedly entering the summer with a very modest transfer budget, the Gunners ended up spending £155 million.

They also smashed their club-record transfer fee on Nicolas Pepe, splashing £72 million on the winger.

But it’s not just Pepe that Gooners can get excited about.

Kieran Tierney, David Luiz and William Saliba have also arrived - although the latter will spend the rest of the campaign back at his former club, Saint-Etienne.

However, the signing that has made the most promising start to his Arsenal career is Dani Ceballos.

The midfielder has arrived on loan from Real Madrid and showed what he’s all about with a stunning performance on his debut against Burnley.

Creativity, passion and work-rate - Ceballos has everything that Arsenal need.

And he proved his quality on the international stage on Thursday night.

Spain continued their 100% record in their Euro 2020 qualification campaign with a narrow 2-1 win away to Romania.

And Ceballos was the best player on the pitch throughout.

Not only did he produce a fantastic ‘hockey assist’ to make Paco Alcacer’s goal but he pulled the strings throughout the match for Robert Moreno’s side. He also won the penalty for Sergio Ramos to put La Rojo ahead.

And now a video has emerged of his highlights during the game - and they’re a joy to watch:

What a player.

Following his performance against Romania, media in Spain sang his praises.

Barca went with the headline: ‘It seems incredible that Ceballos had no place in Real Madrid.’

It does seem ‘incredible’ but Arsenal won’t mind one little bit.
