It's been a bit of a whirlwind week for Chris Jericho and his newly-won AEW World Championship.

In the main event of All Out in Chicago, Y2J got the better of Adam Page to become the inaugural champion, and he celebrated backstage with 'a little bit of the bubbly'.

Fast forward 24 hours though and his title belt could not be found after it went missing from a privately-rented limousine.

The loss of the title became worldwide news, which could only be a good thing for AEW, and soon enough the belt was found at the side of a Tallahassee road by a regular citizen.

An investigation is still ongoing as to how the title was taken, but if it was a wrestling script - you really couldn't write it.

Jericho meanwhile will head into AEW's first television shows in October as the champion, which is probably for the best if you want to attract different sets of fans to your product given the star value he exudes.

Their next pay-per-view - Full Gear - is two months away in November but a main event has already been set for Jericho's belt.

As confirmed by Sports Illustrated, In Baltimore, Jericho will go one-on-one with one of the Executive Vice-Presidents of AEW - Cody Rhodes.

There have been some moans from fans who think that Cody is using his power to throw himself straight into the title picture, but the reality paints a different picture.

AEW's commitment to having a meaning behind wins and losses means that Cody tops the 'rankings' after defeating both Dustin Rhodes and Shawn Spears in the last few months, and a draw against Darby Allin at Fyter Fest.

Cody may not be a walking five-star match like some other AEW stars, like Kenny Omega, but it'll certainly be interesting when he goes head-to-head with the Ayatollah of Rock 'n' Rolla.
