SmackDown Live is gearing up for its big switch - not only in television network but in the night it is being broadcast.

The blue brand will leave its Tuesday night slot and return to a Friday night, and will also depart from USA Network and join FOX.

FOX are going all-out to make their debut a success, as several legends will be in attendance for their first show on October 4 in Los Angeles.

They also apparently want a more sports-oriented feel to their wrestling product, which would explain why they're set to introduce a studio show which would be similar to UFC Tonight.

Two weeks ago it was reported that the agent of CM Punk contacted FOX in regards to potentially getting his client involved in an analyst role, but there's no indication of that actually happening as of right now.

One person FOX seem to be targeting though for a big role is Raw commentator Renee Young.

The wife of Jon Moxley has risen through the ranks in WWE, from a backstage interviewer, to NXT commentator, and then getting the big role on Monday nights alongside Michael Cole and Corey Graves.

Young has previous presenting experience before her WWE days with 'The Score' in Canada, and also hosted Talking Smack whilst it was on air on the WWE Network.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, per The Mix, are reporting that FOX officials are very impressed with Young's talents and they want her to present the studio show when it officially comes to fruition.

If she does get that role, it's unclear as to where her future lies on the Raw brand.

FOX may want her exclusively but it's doubtful that she'd be able to do both commentary and run a studio show in the same night,

Whatever happens though, the future looks like it's bright for Renee Young.
