The UFC have invaded the Middle East this week and a superstar will be unleashed in Abu Dhabi later on today.
After nearly a year away from the Octagon, Khabib Nurmagomedov will return to action in unfamiliar surroundings, with his undefeated streak on the line.
Dustin Poirier will be his opponent, with 'Diamond' coming off a victory over Max Holloway to become the interim lightweight champion in Khabib's absence.
Poirier's professional record is a modest 25-5, but he's on a six-fight undefeated streak which includes wins over the likes of Eddie Alvarez and Anthony Pettis.
Nurmagomedov is a completely different animal though and he's looking to make up for the time lost during his suspension and regain his hold over the 155-pound division.

One man who will be keeping a close eye on the fight is Tony Ferguson.
The number two-ranked lightweight has been victorious in 12 straight fights, the longest winning streak in the UFC lightweight division ever, and is well overdue a title shot, even though he's been interim champion previously.
Ferguson took to Twitter to tell the fans what he wanted to see from the fight, and he's hoping for a very unlikely ending.
“Best Of Fight To @DustinPoirier & @TeamKhabib Competing This Weekend #ufc242 Cheers Fellas, Enjoy the Battle & Save Some For Me. I Expect A Double Knockout As Usual, Don’t Dissapoint. One Of You Is Next The Time Is Coming To Feel The Real CHAMP S**T ONLY™️ Experience,” Ferguson wrote.
El Cucuy probably wants a Double KO for his own personal interests, and it's very, very unlikely to happen.
But if you're Ferguson, there's no real preference for who he would want to win, as he will feel like he could beat both Khabib and Poirier on his best day.
