Ottman Azaitar produced one of the most brutal single punch knockouts in recent memory at UFC 242 in Abu Dhabi during his defeat of Teemu Packalan.Azaiter hit Packalan with an emphatic right hook, which sent his opponent falling face first to the ground after just 3:33 of the first round.Packalan was looking for an uppercut jab, but missed; Azaitar then capitalised on his opponent’s sloppiness with the devastating right hook to the side of his head which sent him helplessly falling to the mat. It is no doubt that he was already unconscious before his body hit the floor. Not that there was any doubt in the outcome due to the vicious blow to the head, the referee waved off the contest there and then, and quickly waved to get medics into the Octagon to check on the fallen Packalan.

The Finnish fighter was luckily OK after the brutal blow from the Bulldozer on a fight which was on the undercard of the UFC lightweight title unification between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dustin Poirier.

Azaitar was the better fighter before the knockout as the Moroccan fighter made it 12 fights unbeaten in his career with victory, his last four all coming by knockout.

Following the fight, the Bulldozer was surprised by how the fight went against his game plan.

He said: "It was really good out there tonight.

"I don't usually go for the knockout, I prepared for a 15-minute fight. He came at me and he wanted to know how I could handle pressure. I didn't expect him to make this pressure but he did.”
