FIFA 20 will be released in just 15 days and on Monday, EA Sports announced what we've all been waiting for - the player ratings.

We now know who the top 100 footballers in the game are - and you can read the complete list here.

Lionel Messi has been crowned as the best player on FIFA 20 thanks to his 94 overall while Cristiano Ronaldo falls to 93, which means he settles for being the second-best in the game.

Neymar rounds of the top three, with his 92 rating.

The top 100 players are made up of those who play all over the world, but a fair few of them play in the Premier League.

That got us thinking: if we could create a starting XI of players from England's top flight and put it against one from the Rest of the World, which would be better?

Well, let's take a look. Below is an XI created from the best players in the Premier League:

GK - Alisson (89)
RB - Kyle Walker (84)
CB - Virgil van Dijk (90)
CB - Toby Alderweireld (87)
LB - Andy Robertson (85)
CM - N’Golo Kane (89)
CM - Christian Eriksen (88)
CM - Kevin de Bruyne (91)
RW - Raheem Sterling (88)
ST - Sergio Aguero (89)
LW - Mohamed Salah (90)

Not bad at all.

There are a few players with very high overalls in that XI, including Van Dijk, De Bruyne and Salah.

But how do those compare to the 11 best players from the rest of the world? Here's that starting XI:

GK - Jan Oblak (91)
RB - Joshua Kimmich (86)
CB - Sergio Ramos (89)
CB - Giorgio Chiellini (89)
LB - Jordi Alba (87)
CM - Sergio Busquets (89)
CM - Luka Modric (90)
CM - Toni Kroos (88)
RW - Neymar (92)
ST - Cristiano Ronaldo (93)
LW - Lionel Messi (94)

Very impressive. There's not a single player rated lower than 86 in that group. We'd all kill for an Ultimate Team like that on FIFA 20.

But what would happen if those two teams clashed on FIFA? It's hard to say, but there would be a few very interesting clashes on the pitch.

BIG MATCHUPS

For starters, Kante, De Bruyne and Eriksen vs Busquets, Modric and Kroos would be one hell of a midfield battle.

Elsewhere on the pitch, Ronaldo, Neymar and Messi would be attempting to breach a very tough Premier League defence that includes Van Dijk, the best centre-back in the game.

But, those three stars would probably have enough quality to beat the Liverpool defender and his partner, Tottenham's Alderweireld.

The Premier League XI has some serious firepower too and we'd fancy Aguero, Salah and Sterling to score a few goals between them.

So who wins the game? We're going for the Rest of the World XI - but only just.
