With the Wednesday Night Wars between WWE's NXT and AEW just around the corner, Triple H has given his thoughts on the upcoming battle.NXT will move away from the WWE Network begin their live broadcasting on the USA Network later this month on September 18.AEW will follow closely behind when they begin their live weekly show on TNT next month on October 2. This will be the official start date of the Wednesday Night Wars between NXT and AEW.In preparation of NXT's live switch, Triple H spoke on The Pat McAfee show about the upcoming NXT vs AEW Wednesday Night Wars. The Game used the comparison of the Monday Night Wars between WWE and WCW to give fans an insight as to what to expect from NXT in the upcoming battle.

He stated during the Monday Night Wars, everyone was willing to work harder to put out a better product. Comparing it to the current wrestling war, he said nothing has changed, but now it’s about how they work harder.

However, Triple H doesn't see NXT's battle with AEW as much of a war at all.

He said: “You know the war thing gets brought up a lot and competition is great. If they’re coming on Wednesday nights and they’re putting on the best show that they can, great. That’s where we are. We’ve been on Wednesday nights like you said for five years.”

“We were in discussions with various networks about moving NXT and growing it. Now’s the right time, so if Wednesday’s the place. People can say ‘war’ they can say ‘not war.’ I don’t see it that way, I just see it as putting on the best show possible.”

Triple H would go on to say that the fans are the ultimate winners of the war between NXT and AEW, before going on to wish his rivals the best of luck with their show.

The Game is right. While AEW and NXT will battle it out on Wednesday nights for supremacy, the true winners of the Wednesday Night Wars will be wrestling fans.
