Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore was delighted to see goal machine Adam Le Fondre back on the scoresheet after a six-game goal drought in the 4-0 win over Stockport.

Stockport's Aaron Brown headed into his own net before Ryan Taylor scored his first of the afternoon. Le Fondre made it three before Taylor completed the rout with a second-half tap in. Le Fondre then had a late goal disallowed for a push.

Moore said: "He (Le Fondre) was back to his best. It would have been great if that goal had stood, but the referee saw a foul and that's the end of it. It was harsh and it was a great finish."

Moore gave a debut to his son, Ian Thomas-Moore, who signed in midweek from Tranmere.

Moore said: "He did well, especially as he doesn't like playing wide left.

"He worked his socks off, but got a little bit tired late on. He reckons the pace at this level is a lot quicker than the First Division.

"But Stockport played some good football, they knocked it about well and they are not as bad as everybody makes out, but we got our goals at the right time and Ryan Taylor's finishing was brilliant.''

Stockport caretaker boss Peter Ward urged his side to be more ruthless.

Ward said: "It's all right playing nice pretty football, but I think when you are in the position we are in things have to change. It's all right having lots of possession, but we had no penetration.

"It's all foreplay and I think I have got to seriously look at the tactics and maybe I should take some of the blame for the way we are playing. It's attractive on the eye but it's not winning games because we are conceding goals because we are wide open and people are not having to work hard to score against us.''
