Cristiano Ronaldo continues to prove that he's the king of international football.

The Portuguese forward has now scored a ridiculous 93 goals for his country, more than any other player in European history.

He's got a fantastic chance of reaching a century before he retires - and that would be a feat that we'll probably never see a player reach again in our lifetimes.

CR7 actually started Tuesday on just 89 goals, before netting four - yes, four - against Lithuania.  Portugal went on to win 5-1.

It was also yet another hat-trick for the 34-year-old, who now has 54 for club and country over the course of his career. Unbelievable.

But, he did have some help with this one. Ronaldo's second goal of the night was absolutely comical.

He took a rather weak looking shot from outside the box, but it was an effort that took a deflection and bounced awkwardly in front of the goalkeeper.

Rather than dealing with it, Ernestas Setkus somehow managed to spill the ball, which then bounced off his head and into the net. Check it out below:

Hilarious. The 'keeper certainly won't want to see that again.

Setkus could do little about Ronaldo's other goals though.

His first came from the penalty spot, his third was a tap-in from inside the six-yard box and his fourth was passed perfectly into the bottom corner. Watch them all below:

With four goals tonight, Ronaldo also broke Robbie Keane's record for most goals in European qualifiers. Yet another impressive accomplishment to add to his CV.

Portugal's latest win sees them second in their group. They are still behind Ukraine, but have a game-in-hand and could go top with a win against Luxembourg in October.

As defending European champions after Euro 2016, Portugal will be desperate to get to next summer's tournament and defend their crown.

If Ronaldo continues his impressive scoring, that certainly won't be an issue.
