Cristiano Ronaldo just continues to amaze.

The Portuguese international is now 34 years old but he's proving that age is just a number.

He is doing quite incredible things for club and country.

And he produced another record-breaking performance on Tuesday for his country.

Portugal won 5-1 against Lithuania and Ronaldo bagged four of them for himself.

He netted the opener courtesy of a seventh minute penalty, before notching three goals in 15 second half minutes.

Piers Morgan was quick to tweet after his performance and he spoke nothing but facts about the Juventus striker.

"@Cristiano scored 4 goals for Portugal tonight," he wrote.

"People can argue about whether he or Messi is the greater player at club level (I’d take CR7 every time) but when it comes to international football, Ronaldo is indisputably the G.O.A.T. 👏👏👏👏"

You're not wrong, Piers. And the stats back his claims up.

Ronaldo has now scored 93 times for his country. Only Ali Daei (109) has scored more.

It seems only a matter of time before Ronaldo scores the 17 goals needed to overtake the Iranian legend.

Ronaldo also became the first player to score against 40 different international teams after notching past Lithuania.

The former Real Madrid star has now scored exactly a third of the hat-tricks in his country's history.

There have been 24 hat-tricks for Portugal. Ronaldo has scored eight of them.

Six of the three-goal hauls Ronaldo has got for his country have come since he turned 30.

Ronaldo also broke Robbie Keane's record for most goals in European Qualifiers.

Keane mustered 23 during his playing career, Ronaldo now has 24 goals to his name.

As well as individual accolades, Ronaldo can also back up his claim for international G.O.A.T status as he has helped his nation to two trophies.

He was integral as Portugal won the European Championship in 2016 and also helped his side to UEFA Nations League glory earlier this year.

As Morgan says, the debate as to who is better between Lionel Messi and Ronaldo in club football will go on for some time.

But there can be no debate when it comes to international football.
