To say Arsenal fans have taken warmly to summer acquisition Dani Ceballos would be a serious understatement.

In the Spaniard's first start at the Emirates against Burnley, the talented midfielder's virtuoso performance was rewarded with chants of 'oh Dani Ceballos'.

He assisted both goals in that 2-1 win and he helped turn the game for Arsenal against Tottenham prior to the international break - which the Gunners drew 2-2 after being 2-0 down.

Ceballos is only at Arsenal on a one-year loan from Real Madrid, but after his latest interview with Sid Lowe, fans may be starting to gain optimism that a permanent deal can be arranged.

Not only has the Spanish international stated his love for the city of London, the Premier League and Arsenal fans, but he also thinks the Gunners compares to the mighty Real Madrid.

“I love the city, I love the Premier League and love Arsenal,” Ceballos said, per Guardian. “I’m just really, really happy to be part of this great club.

"I’ve hardly noticed any difference in size between Real Madrid and Arsenal. And the fans are very passionate, they love the players.

"It’s much easier to adapt because they make you feel like you’ve been at the club forever. I love the way everyone’s treated me. They’ve put a lot of faith in me.”

Ceballos also waxed lyrical about both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, labelling the latter as the best player at the club.

“We’ve got a very good, compact side and the three up front really make the difference," he added. "You can compare [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang to Cristiano [Ronaldo] when he was at Madrid in the sense that he plays close to the goal he lives for scoring.

"He’s very important for us, fundamental. [Nicolas] Pepe is very direct. And [Alexandre] Lacazette, for me, is the best player: he understands the game perfectly and, if he’s 100%, he’s going to give us so much."

And just to top it all off, Ceballos praised Unai Emery's faith in him so far, which seems to be a bit of a swipe at Zinedine Zidane, who was reluctant to play him in the Spanish capital.

"When you have the coach’s confidence it’s much easier to perform. I want to repay that," Ceballos said.

He certainly is a happy man right now.
