It's been a struggle, but we've nearly made it through the first international break of the season.

Watching England in particular has been far more interesting in recent years but - and we're sure most supporters will agree - you just can't beat a weekend of Premier League action.

And now that we're already four games deep into the 2019-20 season, fans already have plenty of suspicions as to how game-week five could pan out.

Liverpool are currently the only team to have won every game, while Manchester City and Leicester City are in hot pursuit as the only other sides to remain unbeaten.

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are leaving a lot to be desired on five points apiece, but are doing much better than Chelsea who are giving Frank Lampard a tough managerial welcome.

The Premier League returns

It's already looking worrying for the promoted duo of Norwich City and Aston Villa at the other end of the table, who are joined by Watford with the Hornets having already switched head coaches.

Now, of course, there are just so many things that can change in the next eight months that makes any surety about the final Premier League table completely misguided.

But that isn't to say that supporters can't better predict game-week five than they could the opening weekend, so expect greater confidence with bets and Fantasy teams around the country.

Supercomputer predicts the weekend's scores

However, no matter your own inclinations on this weekend's results, it probably won't be as thoroughly backed by statistics as 'The Script' project drawn up by BT Sport this summer.

Using data collected by Opta, Google and Squawka, it's probably the greatest 'supercomputer' prediction of all time and we decided to check out its forecast for this weekend.

Although it doesn't have the advantage of analysing the opening four fixtures, it still makes some fascinating choices and could resonate with fans looking to make their own predictions.

Take a look at the full list of forecasted results down below:

You can almost hear the celebrations of Liverpool fans from here.

The Reds, who are predicted to brush aside Newcastle United 3-0, would extend their lead atop the Premier League table to a healthy four points if the predictions come true.

That's because 'The Script' has astonishingly predicted that Pep Guardiola won't be taking three points from Carrow Road, but will instead be forced to settle for a 2-2 draw there.

And it could be a tough weekend in general for the top six as Chelsea are on course for a 0-0 borefest at Wolverhampton Wanderers and United are due to share the spoils with Leicester.

It gets even worse if you're an Arsenal fan because Quique Sanchez Flores is predicted to make the perfect return to Watford by downing the Gunners 2-0 at home.

Criticise 'The Script' as much as you like, but it's certainly an entertaining read and this weekend looks set to be one of the most dramatic chapters of all.
