Khabib Nurmagomedov wishes to retire on a record of 30-0 and wants his last bout to be in his home country.

Currently on 28-0, that would make it two more fights for the Russian, who wants to walk away from the Octagon for the final time in Moscow.

Neither of these two fights are likely to be a rematch with Conor McGregor, however, after the 30-year-old dismissed the Irishman’s callout.

All of this is according to Khabib’s farther Abdulmanap, who has revealed that reaching 30 fights with 30 wins will be more than enough for his son to retire on.

The reigning UFC lightweight champion defended his title for the second time against Dustin Poirier in comprehensive style at UFC 242 last weekend. The undefeated fighter smothered his opponent for three rounds before winning via submission.

Despite that win, Khabib couldn’t climb to the top of the UFC rankings and was fended off by Jon Jones. The Russian has made it very known that he wants to become the top ranked pound-for-pound fighter in the sport and may use these two fights as a way to finally get there.

"For Khabib, 30-0 is enough," his father and trainer said, all-but convinced that the next two fights Khabib has will be victories.

"Regarding his last fight, then of course, we would like his final title defence to be in Moscow," he added.

Tony Ferguson is likely to be the first of the two opponents next in line, after compiling an impressive 12-fight win streak.

After that, Khabib and his team have their eyes set on a super fight against Georges St-Pierre.

“Nobody really cares about what Tony," his manager Ali Abdelaziz said.

"Nobody gives a sh*t really. As far as I know, GSP is next. That is what I want. Tony doesn't get what he wants. We get what Khabib wants, and if Khabib calls me and says he wants Georges St-Pierre, Georges St-Pierre will be next."

The Canadian legend has had just two fights in the last two years, with his most recent coming in 2017 against Michael Bisping in his middleweight debut, where he won the division championship and later vacated the title.

There is no question that St-Pierre could make the return and give Khabib the perfect send off for his explosive career.
