The Premier League returned on Saturday lunchtime as Liverpool hosted Newcastle at Anfield.Jurgen Klopp’s side went into the clash top of the Premier League having won all four of Premier League games so far.And they had the chance to go five points clear of Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola’s side not playing until Saturday evening. With a tough trip to Napoli to come on Tuesday, Klopp used the opportunity to rest both Jordan Henderson and Roberto Firmino. And he may have been regretting that decision after just seven minutes, though.

Christian Atsu found Jetro Williams, who cut inside onto his weaker right foot and smashed the ball past Adrian.

Sensational.

Liverpool thought they should have had a first-half penalty when Joel Matip was haled down inside the box but, as Klopp was still complaining in the touchline a few minutes later, Sadio Mane curled in a beautiful equaliser.

By half-time, Liverpool were ahead.

Just minutes after replacing the injured Divock Origi, Firmino won the ball and played a through ball to Mane.

Martin Dubravka couldn’t gather and Mane scored his second of the game.

In the second half, it was one-way traffic.

But it took until the 71st-minute for the home side to wrap up the game - and it took a moment of magic from Firmino again.

Salah rolled the ball into him and Firmino produced an incredible backheel assist to put the ball back into the Egyptian's pass.

Unbelievable stuff.
