Neymar's relationship with Paris Saint-Germain will never be the same after this summer.
The Brazilian, who broke the world-record transfer fee when he moved to Paris, clearly wanted to leave the club in the transfer window.
A return to Barcelona appeared the most likely but Real Madrid never looked far behind.
But a move never materialised and Neymar was left to see out at least one more season with PSG - something that reportedly left him in tears.
He is yet to make his first appearance this season thanks to an injury that also kept him out of Brazil's victorious Copa America campaign.
But Neymar returned to PSG's team for their match at home to Strasbourg on Saturday.
And the fans did not greet him with open arms - quite the opposite, actually.
Firstly, his name was booed when the stadium announcer read it out, which was hardly a 'welcome back'.
You can check out that reaction below:
But then things got even worse as the Ultras chanted 'Neymar, hijo de p***' or 'Neymar, son of a b****'.
And you can see that reception here:
Not only that, but they unveiled a banner telling Neymar to 'sell his son in Vila Mimosa' - an area renowned for prostitution in Rio.
Now, you'd expect things to change quite rapidly if Neymar fires PSG to their ultimate goal this season - the Champions League.
It's the reason they paid £222m for him, after all, and the fact they've been no closer to winning it was always going to leave a somewhat sour taste.
But Neymar pushing for a move when he hadn't completed that objective has made things look almost irreparable at the Parc de Princes.
You have to think this is his final season in France and the only question really remaining is will he leave with a bang?News Now - Sport News
