Chelsea are in decent shape following the international break after an up-and-down start to the new season under new manager Frank Lampard.

They were thumped 4-0 by Manchester United on the opening weekend but picked up their second league win of the campaign on Saturday by thrashing Wolves 5-2 at Molineux.

Despite winning lots of trophies in recent years, Chelsea have received widespread criticism for continually sending their youngsters out on loan - as many as 41 at a time.

However, with the departure of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid and the club's transfer ban, Lampard has been able to establish some of Chelsea's youth products in the first-team.

Despite having little experience at this level, the academy graduates are producing encouraging displays and have actually scored every single Chelsea league goal between them this term.

Chelsea's kids have scored all the PL goals

Mason Mount, who made his England debut last weekend, scored the Blues' first Premier League goal of 2019-20 when he opened the scoring in the 1-1 draw against Leicester City.

A Tammy Abraham brace and another Mount goal at Norwich City earned Lampard his first win as Chelsea boss, and the former bagged two more goals in the draw with Sheffield United.

Abraham was subjected to racist abuse by his owns fans after a shoot-out miss in the UEFA Super Cup defeat but he proved his finishing prowess with a super hat-trick at Wolves.

20-year-old Mount got on the scoresheet again with a lovely finish, while defender Fikayo Tomori hit an amazing 35-yard strike to put Chelsea ahead in the 31st-minute.

So, Abraham (seven), Mount (three) and Tomori (one) have scored all 11 of Chelsea's Premier League goals so far this season - not bad for a 20-year-old (Mount) and two 21-year-olds.

The future looks bright for Chelsea

When you add these three rising stars to the likes of Andreas Christensen, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson-Odoi, the future definitely looks bright for the west London outfit.

What's more, in Lampard, they finally have a manager who isn't afraid to throw the club's youth products into the biggest matches, and they seem intent on repaying that faith.

Chelsea will now turn their attention to a huge week as they host Copa del Rey holders Valencia in the Champions League and reigning European champions Liverpool in the Premier League.
