Otto Wallin was seen trying to make the cut even worse over Tyson Fury’s right eye that he caused with a massive left hook earlier on in the third round of the fight.
Wallin had been targeting that area ever since he split it open, as he found an area of weakness with Fury and tried to gain an advantage in a fight that many people expected to be a walk in the park for the Brit.
Wallin was even seen brushing it with his right glove to try and open the wound again at the end of the round, much to the anger of boxing fans and Fury alike, and he was successful, with blood pouring down the Gypsy King’s face after the incident.
Any move possible it seemed to ensure that he had every chance in this fight, he was going to grab it with both hands.
However, this nasty tactic came to no avail for the Swede as he lost by a unanimous decision at the end of the fight out in Vegas, handing Fury a big win in the lead up to his pencilled in rematch against Deontay Wilder that should be happening early next year.

Fury will no doubt have had his confidence shaken in this fight, as he would have been left surprised that it lasted as long as it did, but he was still able to come away with the win, just not in the most convincing way.
He most definitely would have preferred to get a knockout earlier on in the encounter to give him an extra spring in his step for his potential rematch against the Bronze Bomber.
It was Wallin who stole fans’ hearts for his determined showing, but this moment of madness did not go down well with those watching, and rightfully so.
In the end, he’s lucky he wasn’t docked a point for his actions.
