Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman main evented Clash Of Champions for the Universal Championship in a huge night of action in Charlotte, North Carolina - but another man would make all the headlines.

Earlier on in the night, Rollins and Strowman defended their Raw Tag Team Championships against DOLPH ZIGGLER and ROBERT ROODE, and the newly-formed tandem pulled off a victory in the show opener.

The expected dissolution of the teaming of Strowman and Rollins came due to an inadvertent take-out of the Kingslayer by Braun, allowing Roode to hit a Glorious DDT on the Universal Champion to take the titles for himself and Ziggler.

Fresh off the loss of their titles, Rollins and Strowman went one-on-one in the final match of the evening, and it took a Pedigree and FOUR Stomps to put the Monster Among Men away, with ROLLINS retaining Raw's premier title.

But that would not be the end of the action - as Rollins celebrated on the stage, The Fiend struck to leave the champion laying and giving us what we presume is going to be a must-see match at Hell In A Cell.

In the other world title fight of the night, KOFI KINGSTON put his prized possession on the line against a formidable foe in the form of Randy Orton.

It was a long, methodical match, and Kingston got his foot to the rope after The Viper struck with an RKO.

Orton teased striking the champion with his long-disappeared Punt move, but he missed and Kofi struck with a Trouble In Paradise to prolong his five-month reign.

We finally got to see the pay-off in the feud between Roman Reigns and Erick Rowan as they locked horns in a No DQ match, and it seems the real attacker has been revealed.

With Reigns getting the upper hand in the match, none-other than Luke Harper returned after a long absence to assist his former tag team partner.

ROWAN emerged victorious after submitting to the numbers game, and it's highly likely that Harper will be the one to admit his guilt in all of the attacks on Reigns in recent weeks. Welcome back, Luke!

There were two Women's Championship matches on the show, and the first one of the evening saw BAYLEY retain her belt over Charlotte Flair, who was defeated in her home city.

She's not been a heel long but Bayley used one of the oldest tricks in the book - removing the turnbuckle padding - to assist herself in putting away The Queen.

The other Women's Title fight saw the other two Horsewomen go one-on-one, with Sasha Banks trying to dethrone Becky Lynch in her first pay-per-view match since WrestleMania.

There was no definitive result though, as it ended with a disqualification to Lynch after she accidentally struck the referee with a steel chair, and whilst the two brawled all around the arena, the match was called off.

As they made their way back into the ring, Lynch locked the DisArmHer on Banks, aided with a chair, before a spate of officials rushed to the ring to break it up - we have a feeling that this feud isn't over yet.

New Day member Xavier Woods returned to action after a month-long absence, as he and Big E defended the SmackDown Tag Team Championships against THE REVIVAL.

And it was Dawson and Wilder who became three-time champions after Woods' knee was targeted once again, leaving one of WWE's most popular stables with just the one belt.

ALEXA BLISS and NIKKI CROSS also put their Women's Tag Team Championships on the line against the team of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville - a match that was interrupted by the happenings of R-Truth and the 24/7 Championship.

After that passed through the ring, the champions eventually put Fire & Desire away, with Rose getting her comeuppance after insulting Cross' appearance in the build-up to the event.

The only male non-world title to be defended on the main show was the prestigious Intercontinental Championship, where SHINSUKE NAKAMURA, aided by his new sidekick Sami Zayn, defeated The Miz.

Much was made of the number of title reigns that The Miz has had, and that he would equal Chris Jericho's record of nine reigns if he was to beat the Japanese star.

But due to Zayn's scheming at ringside, Nakamura made a successful defence, striking Miz down with the Kinshasa.

We also got some interesting matches on the Kick Off Show, where AJ STYLES was victorious over the home-town boy Cedric Alexander.

Alexander had pinned The Phenomenal One on Raw in Madison Square Garden last week but in a short, hard-hitting match, Styles was victorious, with Gallows and Anderson joining him after the bout to brutalize the losing man.

The Cruiserweight Championship was also on the Kick Off Show, and DREW GULAK was victorious in a defence of his title against Humberto Carrillo and Lince Dorado in a Triple Threat match.

The referee had to remind Dorado to place his shoulders on the match when Gulak was pinning him, but all-in-all it was a fun match in a time where it's uncertain where the 205 Live superstars stand with the future of the show in jeopardy.
