Roman Reigns finally got a shot at the man who outed himself as the Big Dog's tormentor weeks ago.But things have taken another twist after their bout at Clash of Champions.Footage a couple of weeks ago showed Erick Rowan at the scene of the first Reigns incident backstage at SmackDown in late July, which forced Daniel Bryan to turn his back on him.The show must go on though and Rowan has decided to fend for himself, attacking both Reigns and Bryan in recent weeks on SmackDown.Reigns was able to try and get some revenge though in a No Disqualification match, which saw the two behemoths go all around the arena.

The action moved to the entrance ramp though, and just as it looked like Reigns was about to finish Rowan off, a man WWE fans haven't seen in a while intervened in the match.

A man that has tagged with Rowan for a long time, Luke Harper, made his first WWE appearance since WrestleMania 35 by coming to assist his former partner, intercepting Reigns as he was about to hit Rowan with the Spear.

After Harper hit Reigns with his discus lariat, Rowan produced an Iron Claw Slam to put him away and gain supremacy, but the headlines will be taken by Harper.

It was a very unexpected return considering reports came out only a few days prior regarding his future with the company.

Dave Meltzer reported that Vince McMahon didn't see anything worthwhile in Harper to use him, but wouldn't release him from his contract either, which expires in May next year.

Fast forward a couple of days though and Harper has been thrust into a big storyline and we can presume that he was the actual attacker of Reigns, although that could be cleared up on SmackDown this week.

Welcome back, Luke!
