The Yorkshire derby between Barnsley and Leeds was shrouded in crowd trouble.Leeds went top of the Championship thanks to late goals from Eddie Nketiah and Mateusz Klich but there were four people arrested after travelling fans clashed with stewards.West Yorkshire Police confirmed that three people were arrested on suspicion of public order offences.Meanwhile, a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released under investigations while enquiries continue. The trouble started after Arsenal loanee Nketiah put Leeds ahead in the 84th-minute.

The jubilant Leeds fans then had an altercation with stewards.

But perhaps it was the stewards to blame, rather than the away fans.

That’s because videos have emerged that shows one steward being far too forceful and ‘wanting to take on the entire away end.’ He can be seen tackling Leeds fans to the ground during their celebrations.

In another video, he can be seen goading the away supporters.

The steward in question was then escorted out of the ground by his own colleagues - much to the delight of the Leeds fans.

One witness explained the situation: “Over enthusiastic k**bhead of a steward dragging lads out for celebrating the goal and then stood goading Leeds fans! He’ll be sacked and rightly so.”

A Leeds United spokesman said: "Leeds United and Barnsley Football Club are greatly disappointed by reports of violence at yesterday’s game and will be working together to assess the matter."
