When it comes to boxing as a sport, it has certainly been divided with two YouTube stars beginning their professional careers.

For KSI and Logan Paul, competing as professionals and having an experienced boxing promoter in Eddie Hearn, opinions on this event will cause plenty of discussion in the boxing world.

Some would say that it is good for the sport, and some would propose it being a bad idea to even have this as a boxing match altogether. Nevertheless, one thing that cannot be denied is the huge audience the pair bring, along with more than one million people watching the press conference live on YouTube.

The pair meet on November 9 at the Staples Center after their controversial majority draw in August last year. This event has got the boxing world talking, especially two heavyweights in the sport in Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder.

Joshua is currently training for his very own rematch as he looks to claim back the heavyweight titles that he lost to Andy Ruiz back in June.

The former unified heavyweight champion of the world believes it to be ‘sick’.

“I think it’s sick." he said, as per The Independent.

“He could have promoted it from a point of view that’s non-boxing but getting their licenses, no head guards, rounds of boxing.

“What people have to realise is, you have to put all eyes on boxing for us all to thrive.

“So KSI and Logan Paul have a bigger following than me and most of the heavyweights combined.”

When Joshua was asked about who will win the bout on November 9, he slowly replied by saying: “That’s a tough one.

I’m going KSI. He’s done it before, but Logan Paul is a big unit.

“He’s done it before, he’s been in there and that experience is good.”

Like Joshua, who is currently preparing for his rematch against Ruiz, Wilder is preparing for a rematch of his own where he is defending his WBC belt against Luis Ortiz, and then in February with a rematch scheduled against Tyson Fury should he come through unscathed.

The American heavyweight was recently asked who would win the rematch between KSI and Logan Paul, where Wilder didn’t pretend to know much about the event.

Although not knowing much about the fight with the two YouTube stars, Wilder did praise the new audience that their fight will bring and what it will do for boxing as a sport.

“I have no idea, I didn’t even see the (last) fight,” Wilder told KSI’s trainer Viddal Riley when asked who would win between the YouTubers, as per talkSPORT.

“I can’t really give a strong assessment on it, but I did hear about it though and it was fascinating to see it promoted and get a lot of fans behind it.

“To be able to do that was very impressive. How did it go last time?

“He a champion [KSI]? Then I’m going with the champion.”
